Last week we featured a blog titled Find your Augusta Home in a Snap with the Right App, highlighting the important role mobile phones and apps play in finding a home. Real Estate, a free house-hunting app by Trulia, was at the top of that list. Real Estate allows you to search through listings and trim your search down by filtering homes with features you desire. Prefer a home to a rental? A two-story to a one-story? Two bathrooms to one? The Trulia app can help find you that specific house of your dreams. You can also plug in your current location for find the listings closest to you or use the “open house” tab to find homes that are available to view the same day. Trulia also syncs with Yelp so you can find restaurants near the area, check reviews, and call for reservations.
Last year, Trulia expanded its app offerings by partnering with Google to incorporate Google maps on the Trulia app. This feature allows homebuyers to see satellite images of properties along with a crime map overlays and school zones.
Home buyers around the country rely on the Trulia app to make the home searching process easy and seamless. But starting mid-November, that home searching experience will become even easier.
Trulia is partnering with Google again. From now on, when house hunters use Google to find a home on their mobile browser, the option will be given to open the Trulia Android app directly. Once the home buyer selects the ‘Open in App’ button, the app will launch, directing them to the home(s) they are searching for. This new feature will make the home buying process quicker and give new meaning to the phrase “home search”.
