4 Leaf Clover 5K, March 13
Kick off St. Patrick’s Day weekend with running and beer in downtown Aiken. This event is held by 2 Girls and a Clock and registration begins at $25. The race begins on Newberry Street and benefits the Aiken Public Safety Police Athletic League. Dress up in your green and you just might win a costume contest! Although beer is being offered at this event, children, strollers and leashed dogs are invited to participate.
CSRA Heart Walk, March 14
SRP Park in North Augusta is hosting this year’s CSRA Heart Walk, held by the American Heart Association. There is a number of companies you can donate through, including our very own Berkshire Hathaway Home Services Beazley, Realtors! The walk will start at 8:00 am.
Aiken Trials, March 14
The 78th annual Aiken Trials are a popular spring event leading up to the famous Spring Steeplechase. They are held at the Aiken Training Track with gates opening at 10:00 am and the race beginning at 1:00 pm. Tickets start at $15.
Aiken Spring Steeplechase, March 21
The 54th Spring Steeplechase is one of Aiken’s most popular horse races and an all-day party for people of all ages to enjoy. Gates will open at 9:00 am with races kicking off at 1:00 pm.
Aiken Standard’s Spring Home and Garden Show, March 27-28
The USC Aiken Convocation Center will open at 9:00 am on March 27 and 28 for the annual Spring Home and Garden Show. If you are a homeowner, you don’t want to miss this! You’ll enjoy DIY gardening ideas, home improvement tips from local businesses and more.
Pacers and Polo, March 28
This is the 3rd and final leg of Aiken’s “Triple Crown”. This event is held by the Aiken Polo Club with USC Aiken and The Pacer Club. There will be an opening ceremony for the match as well as an awards ceremony at the end.
Boondock Farms Grand Opening, April 4
Join the inaugural farmer’s market for the new Boondock Farms, located in Jackson, South Carolina. The agritourism farm will offer gardening classes, flower arrangements, fresh farmer’s markets and more.
Aiken Art Walk, April 7
Take a break from the Washington Road chaos during Master’s week and cross the river to Laurens Street in downtown Aiken. The Art Walk is a local fair featuring visual and performing artists as well as artisan goods, snacks, and farm fresh goods. There is no admission but bring a little cash to support these local businesses.
