Local Sports Leagues

        Sports are a great way for adults and children alike to learn new skills, stay fit and make new friends that may last for a lifetime. There are quite a few leagues around the CSRA that can be joined- here is a list:

Augusta Sports Leagues

        The Augusta Sports Leagues is an organization for adults that prioritizes having fun and building community. They have upcoming leagues in volleyball, co-ed softball, co-ed soccer, flag football, and basketball. Click the link above for sign-up and contact information.

Augusta Sports Council

        Since 1991, the Augusta Sports Council has aimed to enrich the quality of life and wellbeing for those in the metro Augusta area. They have had over 800 events since their creation from small to multi-team levels. There are adaptive groups such as the Southeastern Paralyzed Veterans Association as well as BMX leagues, Bowling, Boxing, Cheerleading, Disc Golf and many more. They also sponsor events such as the Augusta University Half Marathon/10K/5K for runners, Augusta Ironman and Nike Peach Jam.

Columbia County Recreation

        Youth ages 5-14 can join various teams around Columbia County that meet and play at local parks such as Patriots Park and Riverside Park. The link above will give you contact and registration info for t-ball, baseball, softball, soccer and more.

Augusta Salvation Army Kroc Center 

        The Kroc Center has drop-in classes as well as leagues for basketball, volleyball and more. Children and adults can take Taekwondo classes, learn pickleball or table tennis, or join competitive and recreational teams. Their website has contact info and schedules for drop-ins and league registration.

North Augusta Parks & Recreation

        The city of North Augusta offers sports leagues for children ages 4-18. Athletic programs such as football, cheerleading, baseball and soccer are available. Visit their website for contact and registration info.

City of Aiken Athletics

        Aiken offers athletic opportunities throughout the city in various locations. Youth leagues range from softball, flag football, buddy sports and more. There are also adult programs for softball, flag football and basketball. Citizens Park and Weeks Tennis Center are just two of the facilities offered for Aiken sports but there are more available as well. Scheduling and contact info can be found at the link above.
