CSRA Outdoor Markets

Outdoor markets are a popular spring and summer activity, especially in the CSRA where the weather is enjoyable during these seasons. Local farmers and vendors gather together to sell their fresh and handmade products. Take a morning to explore the area with the family, support small businesses, and even save money on groceries by purchasing locally grown products. Here are a few markets in the area to check out this season:

The Augusta Market

Located in downtown Augusta at the 8th Street Plaza, the Augusta Market is a classic and popular place to be on Saturday mornings during warm weather months. Visit from 8:00 a.m.-2:00 p.m. Enjoy fresh fruits and vegetables from local farmers, food trucks to try, handmade artists with merchandise and more. There is even a splash pad nearby to cool off with the kids after shopping.

Aiken County Farmers Market

Find fresh produce, baked goods, meat, handmade crafts and more at the Aiken County Farmers Market. You can visit Tuesdays and Saturdays each week from 7:30 a.m.-11:30 a.m. Find the historic wooden structure with some of Aiken’s best goods at 115 Williamsburg Street. This one is open year-round!

The Veggie Park Farmers Market

For an evening market experience, head to 109 Eve Street in downtown Augusta each Thursday from 4:30 p.m.-7:00 p.m. They carry fresh fruits and vegetables and even accept EBT for more accessibility to healthy food options.

Evans Market

The Evans Market in the new Plaza at Evans Towne Center behind the Lady A Park is a great place to be on Saturdays from 9:00 a.m.-1:00 p.m. Local artisans, farmers and vendors bring the best of the best to Columbia County for a great way to shop small and have fun.
