Moving into a new home can be one of the most exciting times of your life. Naturally, you’ll want to celebrate this milestone with family and friends and a housewarming party is the perfect way to do that. It is an opportunity to show off your new home to the most important people in your life and also to meet new neighbors. 

If you plan to host your own housewarming party, here are a few recipes that everyone will enjoy. 

Margarita Sangria

This one is the perfect refresher for a warm summer housewarming party. Simply combine the following ingredients in a large punch bowl or pitcher and serve chilled. 

  • 1 bottle white wine
  • 1 can lemon-lime soda
  • 1 sliced lemon
  • 1 cup tequila
  • ½ cup sliced seedless grapes
  • ½ cup mixed berries
  • ¼ cup agave 
  • 3 tablespoons lemon juice

Fruit and Cheese Board

Charcuterie boards are a staple at just about any party these days. Try this simple one that can be beautifully displayed for your guests. 

  • 10 halved strawberries
  • 2 small, thinly sliced oranges
  • 1 ½ cups grapes
  • 1 medium mango
  • ½ cup blueberries
  • 1 cup blackberries
  • ½ cup dried banana slices
  • 2 peeled and sliced kiwis 
  • 6 slices seedless watermelon
  • ½ cup almonds
  • 16-24 ounces various cheeses of your choosing, sliced or cubed
  • ½ cup honey

Ham and Cheese Rolls

These are like a savory miniature Danish, perfect as a finger food with low mess. Unroll a package of refrigerated crescent rolls and separate into 4 rectangles. Spread each section with 2 tablespoons of spinach dip, then top with sliced black forest ham and cheddar cheese. Roll up the dough and cut into thirds, placing into a greased muffin tin. Bake at 350 for 12-15 minutes. 

Mango Pepper Salsa

Chips and salsa are the perfect appetizer to have available at a party. This tangy salsa recipe gives a twist on a classic recipe and is great with tortilla chips. 

Combine the following ingredients in a large bowl: 

  • 3 medium mangos, peeled and chopped
  • 2 cups chopped pineapple
  • 1 large sweet red pepper, chopped
  • 1 poblano pepper, finely chopped
  • ½ cup red onion, chopped
  • ¼ cup cilantro 

Next, whisk these ingredients together and toss with everything in the large bowl, then chill in the refrigerator for at least an hour for the flavors to have time to blend. 

  • 3 tablespoons lime juice
  • 3 tablespoons honey
  • 1 teaspoon olive oil
  • Dash of salt and pepper
