August is National Golf Month. The modern game originated in 15th century Scotland and still holds a prevalent spot in the sports world. The CSRA already has plenty of reasons to celebrate, but here are a few more ideas to grow your love of golf.


Visit the new TopGolf in Augusta.

If you’re serious about golfing, treat yourself to some new clubs to celebrate National Golf Month. August is a great time to look for sales at local sporting goods stores.

If you enjoy golfing for fun and camaraderie but want to get more serious about your technique, try taking a few lessons with a pro. They will give you expert advice on a good swing and you’ll be more likely to win a round next time you’re out with friends. 


Try a new course.

We all know that one golf club in the area is off-limits to the public, but there are many other courses full of beauty and challenge.
