January 24th is National Green Juice Day in America. This holiday was established just a few short years ago in 2016 as a way to encourage people to stick to the health and wellness resolutions they often make at the beginning of a New Year. According to Wakefield Research, more than 50% of Americans break their resolutions by the end of January. 

To celebrate National Green Juice Day and keep the motivation up for your health and wellness resolutions, here are a few green juice recipes to try. 

Healthy Green Juice with Lemon

This one is simple, tasty and detoxifying to get you on the right track. Use a juicer or blender to mix the following:

  • 4-6 kale leaves
  • 1 head of romaine lettuce
  • 2 stalks of celery
  • 1 medium cucumber
  • 1 green apple
  • 1 lemon
  • 1 small piece of fresh ginger

Beginners Green Juice

These simple ingredients come together for a tasty and nutritious drink. If your juicer doesn’t have a strainer, you may need to manually strain this after the juicing is complete.

  • 2 pears
  • 2 handfuls of fresh spinach
  • 2 stalks of celery
  • 1 small piece of fresh ginger

Springtime Green Apple Juice

For a quick, refreshing green juice, try this one. It’s a great way to start the day and get a good amount of nutrients in just a few sips. Put these fresh ingredients through the juicer and enjoy:

  • 1 cored green apple
  • 4 celery stalks
  • ½ medium cucumber
  • ½ inch fresh ginger

Get Up and Glow Juice

This juice is a powerhouse drink packed with antioxidants that come with many benefits from good skin to lower inflammation. Place the following into a food processor or blender: 

  • 2 peeled cucumbers
  • 5-6 sprigs of fresh basil
  • 2 mint leaves
  • Juice from 2 grapefruits
  • 1 cup of cold water

  • ¼ cantaloupe

Spinach Lemonade

  • 8 cups spinach
  • 2 lemons
  • ½ cucumber
  • 1 pear
  • 2 cored Granny Smith apples
